In 2019 I drafted a button up shirt pattern for myself, and made a collection of cotton shirts in dress shirt weight and flannel fabrics.

  • self-drafted pattern

  • all shirts constructed and finished with a sewing machine and serger

Work Pants

custom size, 2017

In 2017 I made six pairs of pants for myself because I was unhappy with the fit and sizing options available in commercial pants. Until that point I had spent many years taking new pants apart and modifying them; I decided doing so was as much if not more work than making new pants for an end result that was never quite right. Working from my own measurements, I drafted a basic pants pattern that could be modified into any configuration, and proceeded to make six pairs of custom pants.

  • self-drafted pattern

  • hand-dyed surplus Carhartt fabric remnants

  • vintage floral fabric inherited from my grandmother in-law for pockets

  • all pants constructed and finished with a sewing machine and serger

In 2019 I I updated my basic pants pattern and made six new pairs of custom pants. Pattern was updated for heavier weight fabric, to improve fit and changes to side utility pocket configuration.

  • hand-dyed surplus Carhartt fabric remnants

  • vintage fabric inherited from my grandmother in-law for pockets

  • all pants constructed and finished with a sewing machine and serger
